Show Appreciation:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Tell someone what you like about them today (without telling them what you don\u2019t like).<\/p>\n Go Out On a Date:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Ask your sweetheart or significant other out on a date. \u00a0Yes, call them up as though it was the first time. Show up at the door, nicely dressed, with a small romantic gift. \u00a0Go someplace special. \u00a0Talk as though it was your first date. \u00a0Ask how they are, what\u2019s new, and how they feel about this and that.<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve been having some problems, ask them how their relationship is going with __(state your own name___). Just listen to what they say without your normal reaction, as you would be supportive of a best friend. Be sure not to defend or attack. \u00a0This can be a real eye opener, especially if communication has been missing, but it\u2019s essential you handle this with great delicacy or you can do more damage than good.<\/p>\n Try not to allow the conversation to fall into the usual familiar patterns. \u00a0(It might help to let them know these ground rules before you start.) \u00a0If the game becomes tedious, ask how he\/she felt about the whole thing and even how you might freshen things up in the future.<\/p>\n Use the Pathways:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A complete list and explanation of the pathways appears under the menu selection \u201cThe Love Collection.\u201d \u00a0Two of the Twelve pathways from the\u00a0Handbook To Higher Consciousness\u00a0<\/em>are especially worth contemplating.<\/p>\n \u201cI am perceiving everyone, including myself, as an awakening being who is here to claim his or her birthright to the higher consciousness planes of unconditional love and oneness.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Think of those you consider somehow inferior \u2026 or superior. \u2026 or even of yourself.\u00a0 You\u2019re all OK and deserving of love, no matter how well you hide it at the moment.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel with loving compassion the problems of others without getting caught up emotionally in their predicaments, which are offering them messages they need for their growth.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Think of the drama majors happy to share their situations with good friends or anybody else who will\u00a0listen.\u00a0 Remember \u201c\u2026loving compassion\u2026\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>It isn\u2019t a situation of detachment, just not one of absorption.<\/p>\n If you swim in their emotional pool, it\u2019s harder to help them out. Sometimes people need to have suffered enough before they decide to make changes.\u00a0How about you?<\/p>\n Compliment a Stranger:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Relationships are everywhere you find people.
